I'm trying to call home to my vonage number, and i'm hearing this message (Lines are temporarily busy, please try again later, O106).

Does anyone know what this means and/or why can't I get through?

Are you in the 918 area code by chance? There's an issue there. Likely you're not in 918 if you're Canadian but maybe the issue has spread.

I'm in the 613 area code.

The problem persists, so I called Vonage tech support last night. After some testing, they said that Vonage users will get through, but the problem lies with non-Vonage. A friend and fellow Vonage user, also within 613, is not experiencing this problem however, it is specific to my number.

Vonage said after I called last night that the problem should be fixed within 3-4 hours, but it continues today. I have called them again and I was told that at most this problem would persist for 3-4 days. Eek Not being able to receive calls for that amount of time is unacceptable IMHO. (Note that I can still make calls.)

That error message is soo useless, I've received that message for days straight to end up finding out the international number i was calling was disconnected.

I got that message calling from my Vonage 416 number to a 613 number. I changed the called number from an extension to the company switchboard and I got through right away.

Got that message twice using my vonage phone. Frustrated, switched to make it with my cell phone, got right thru. So... I guess in wide-spread emergencies... and broadband is still up and running... vonage won't be? Wonderful!

The question remains: Whatzup with that????

I am getting a repeated message 'lines temporarily busy, please try again later, 0106' from the 831 area code, calling just across the Monterey Bay. What a pain! An important business call, too. This has been occurring for more than an hour and sounds like from the rest of these messages, it could go on indefinately.

I keep getting this error message when trying to dial Ireland from Los Angeles. This has been an ongoing problem for some time...a real weakness for Vonage.

This error has been happening since the beginning of Oct. 2007. I'm not even calling long distance. I'm calling down the street. It happens in my own Area Code as well as long distance. Area Codes 407, 382, 813, etc ... it doesn't matter. Anyone find out from Vonage the problem? Let me know. Mad

I was trying to call home from the U.K on my cell phone and was getting the message, the number you have called is not in service? I ended up calling my cell phone to tell my wife I was coming home a day early.

Not sure why I was getting that error though, when I got home our phone was working properly.

I have had that error, lines are temporarily busy 0106, sounds like she is getting off on the phone!
