wanted to know whether anyone knew how to use multiples phones with 1 Vonage phone adapter.
if so, please let me know asap.
I have 3 phones in the house.
only 1 phone is connected to the vonage phone adapter.
the other 2 are not.
I want to use all 3 phones with Vonage phone adapter. |

You need to connect the phone adapter to your house wiring. This is not supported by the manufacturer of most adapters, but works for most people. Some people experience issues with callerID. Vonage even explains on their site how to do it.
In short, you have to make sure that that your phone line coming from the local phone company to your house is disconnected from your inside wiring at the phone box outside your house. Even if you don't have service from your local phone company, there could be voltage on the line that will damage the phone adapter connected to the house wiring. Once you have disconnected the line from your inside wiring, plug the phone adapter into any wall jack instead of the phone, then plug all the phones into wall jacks and you should have a dial tone on all the phones.
Option number 2 depends on how old your house is. If you live in a new house you probably have modern Cat5 wiring and a patch panel in one of your closets, basement or garage. If that's the case you can do the wiring in a supported way that avoids the risk of callerID issues. See my other post about how to accomplish this. vonage-forum.com/sutra58500.html#58500" target="_blank">http://www.vonage-forum.com/sutra58500.html#58500 |

You might head over to the vonage-forum.com/forum12.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" class="postlink">Hard Wiring - Installation Forum where stuff like this is discussed. |

You could also say to heck with house wiring, and get an expandable set of cordless phones (5.8 GHZ). Then connect the base to the Vonage adapter, and the rest will use it too. Alot simpler, just have to spring for the new phones. |
