Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and very excited to be a Vonage customer.

So far the phones have worked great. I've had one time when I had to recall somebody. I have had some problems with Click2Call but I really think that's more trouble then it's worth.

I do have a concern about customer service. When I first got my phone on 12/30/05 I sent an email to them on a question concerning incoming calls. While I was able to see that there is no charge for those calls, I never received an answer to my email.

Since I have the 14.99 500 minute plan and experienced problems with click2call I asked for 7 minutes credit for those calls. Not a big deal really, I will have minutes to spear by next billing. They say they "usually respond in 48 hours." 8 days have gone by and I still have not gotten a response.

This disturbs me a great deal. Yes, I know I can call but email should be answered imho within 24 business hours.

So while I'm not thrilled with their customer service, I am thrilled with their cost and quality. I will recommend to anyone who asks.

Now back to the introduction. Yes, I really do have 11 parrots (see signature) and I also have 5 cats. I'm married, retired and love electronic goodies. I love active forums, hope there is plenty of good discussion.

You will not receive a response to your email. I don't know why, I just know you will not.

I would call them or try the dslreports@vonage.com email address.

Really! Then why put something up there? I mean that's just got to frustrate the heck out of people. Why would they want to irritate customers like that?

When I called they said that credits are issued after an invoice period and that if I didn't go over my minutes there wouldn't be a credit anyway.

Hmmm....my signature never showed up on the first post. Maybe it will now.

I got a response to one of those web-submitted requests. It took a couple weeks, but I did get a response. For some reason that is one area where Vonage totally fails. They create an expectation of a 2 day response and then completely blow it. Queue apologists.
