I have had vonage for 1.5 years, first with DSL and then with comcast. for 1 month callers have not been able to hear me but i can hear them. the comcast people in my region have said they have been very busy responding to calls from vonage customers that have been having problems. numerous posts on the internet suggest some sort of comcast plot to disrupt vonage customers by limiting their bandiwth. does anyone have a solution to this problem besides cancelling vonage? |

I have Comcast Cable all is running fine for me as of now. Rumors spread fast. I would troubleshoot all aspects before aiming blame at a particular Company. |

Well, misery loves company.
I am having the same problem.
Have replaced cable modem, wireless modem and have talked to ComCast repeatedly.
The guy tonight was really nice. He told me to check this set-up for about 2 weeks (because of the new modem they don't have any history), and if the problems persisted to call them and ask them to run a line check due to persistent problems.
I think I'll do that.
Kind regards,

Comcast has been a little funny for me.
I had intermittent quality and reliability issues over a year period as did my neighbors. The only thing that solved the issues was everyone constantly calling Comcast and laying out a track record of tickets that were not resolved. It finally got fixed, but it was not exactly a proactive experience on Comcast's part.
Right now I am running a little over 8 Mbps (non prime time) so I'm happy. |

Comcast here (Chicago). So far so good. Really no issues with Vonage service over the Comcast line. |

Just signed up with Vonage yesterday as well as being on Comcast. My sound quality is superb. Not having any issues yet. |

I am with Comcast in Hanover County, VA, just north of Richmond. I have had no problems.
I would like to ask forum members to do two things that will help make this type of thread more useful for data mining. Please add your ISP in your signature. This is a convention we have been using on the forum for over a year. Also, please add your location in your profile. With these two pieces of information we can often recognize regional problems here on the forum before they are announced by Vonage or the ISPs.
Thank you. |
