I use Vonage for my business phone and would love to receive a text message on my cell phone when a new message has been left. This is my suggestion as a feature to add. Thanks

Andrew

I'd support that requirement.
An alternative is for email to be sent to your phone. Unfortunately I don't have email on my mobile/cell phone.

Sign on to your account. Go to Voice Mail under features.
While in that area, go to Voice Mail Notification. The option allows you to enter a e-mail address. If you enter your cell phone e-mail address, you should have what you are looking for.

This all depends that your cell phone can receive e-mails.

Hope this helps.

If you don't have an email address for your phone, just call your service provider and ask them what your email address is. I do not know of a provider out there that does not have an email address assigned to their phones.

E.G. Verizon is <your 10 digit phone number>@vtext.com

Just put that in there for email notification WITHOUT attachment.

I have my own domain ($30/year) and have created a forwarding email address for vonage that forwards the txt message to both my wife's and my phone at the same time.

I have a company phone from BT which doesn't have email. I guess that's part of the deal for how my company gets it so cheap.

this may also be accomplished by utilizing the Rules Wizard in Outlook. Forward any message containing specific words to your cell number address.

I have been doing this for awhile with another system and it works great.
