Hi,
Is it possible to begin service with a new number, and then later (say 1 or 2 months into the service) request transfer of my existing number?
Are there additional fees incurred for this?
The reason is, I wanted to try out the service without at first affecting my existing service. Just in case I run into problems and I want to go back to my regular service. If I need to go back, I didn't want to go through the hassle of re-requesting my existing number. |

Yes, this is what a lot of us did.
When you are ready, you can log into your account and request the number change. Varying results however.
You might want to look over this forum on Local Numer Portability: http://www.vonage-forum.com/forum8.html
Oh, and the cost is $9.99 + tax. |

Try searching or at least scanning the posts from today before you start a new thread that has already been discussed earlier today.
