Most people agree that the big boys will get into the picture, what are your thoughts about being a pioneer with Vonage knowing that ATT/Verizon will get in soon? thanks. |

That's like asking someone 6 years ago how they felt trading stocks with a $12 / trade discount brokerage, when they knew that Merrill, et al, were going to soon respond and launch their own lower cost internet trading platforms....
THEY FELT GREAT!!! As do I.
Just like in the above example, the offerings that I imagine will soon appear from the "Big Boys" will, as they were above, be too little too late. They will not have all the features of the Vonage account and will charge a higher price. Mainly because the big boys can't risk cannibalizing their existing bus. too much.
My advice... there is much to be gained for the consumer by being an early adapter here. Waiting for AT&T etc. to give you the same deal Vonage does would be like calling your broker at Goldman and asking him for a $12 trade! |

I just went to AT&T's website to check out their Voip package. It's not that great. They charge $40 for unlimited local/long distance as oposed to $35 with Vonage. They also do not have virtual phone numbers which saved my family alot of money when they call me. I wish that Vonage would add Private Number Block to their features but overall I think Vonage is great. |
