I have searched this fourm for answers and have found some but not all. Anyway here it goes.

I am thinking of switching to Vonage from SBC. My basic service with SBC is $31.99/ month. My final bill (taxes, 911 fees etc) is $46.95/ month. If I switched to Vonage and selected the $24.99/ month service how much would my final bill be?? Does Vonage charge all the taxes and other fees as SBC does??

Second question. In my house I have basically 2 phones. One phone is connected directly into a wall jack in my office. The other phone is a multi-cordless system (2.4 ghz) connected to a wall jack in my kitchen. I have an cordless extension in my bedroom. They both use the same line. If I get Vonage will I need just one phone modulator? If I plug the Vonage box into the wall outlet in my office with the phone in my office will the other phone in the kitchen be able to be used with Vonage??

Anyone have any experience with comcast high speed internet and Vonage. Good or Bad service??

any and all information would be helpful.

I can't believe you couldn't find the answers to your common questions by searching, but here goes.

there are probably hundred if not thousands of members on this site alone with comcast. ymmv. post detailed results from testyourvoip.com for an analysis of how Voip will probably work for you.

Comcast 6mb package here, works fantastic with the RT31P2. AS for setup with house wiring, there is a forum dedicated to that, so I suggest you look there. There's very specific rules about disconnecting yourself from the old phone line outside of the house, but it seems easy. If you connect the Vonage device to house wiring, any jack in the house should be able to work. There is a limit on the number of phones you can have, but people use 4 with no big issues. Maybe just do a completely 5.8 GHZ solution, 3 handsets, and forego the whole house wiring deal.

As NavyDavy said, you can do this and it's relatively easy. The Hard Wiring forum has details. The main thing is to be very sure that the regular land line service is disconnected from the house wiring before you connect the Vonage device to the house wiring. If you decide to go with Vonage and have trouble with this, we'll be here to help.
