Post subject: BSNL Modem settings PPPOE Always ON
Hello
I have this setup
ISP: BSNL Dataone
Modem: HUAWEI Model: WA1003A
BSNL is using bridge mode as connection.
I need to switch this to PPPOE always ON mode.
Can you please explain how to do this?
I tried doing following steps but did not work
1.
http://192.168.1.1/
2. Logged in as admin
3. Went to WAN settings
4. Edited PVCO settings and changed bridge to PPPOE
5. Typed in ISP login id and passoword
6. Saved settings and rebooted modem
Did not work, What am i missing here, Any help would be appreciated.
I am doing this coz
Vonage
installation CD is not detecting internet connection even though PC is hooked up to internet using brigde mode. So read it on this forum to make PPPOE to always on mode.
Any help would be hightly appreciated!!
Thanks

First thing you need to do is:
1. Open window.
2 Defenestrate CD as far as possible.
3. Close window.
3a RTFM for your modem.
Just curious, what country are you guys in?
