Hi,
Does Vonage have any equipment with voicemail indicator, like for example cell phones that indicate voice mail is waiting?
I asked the Vonage person on the phone and they said there's no such thing, you always have to call into the voicemail system. I just think that's quite backwards, I have to be using my phone and dialing into a system just to find out if there are messages.

There is software available for voicemail.

The free version is limited as to message length, but gives notice of the call. Works for multiple accounts. |

Pretty much all cordless phones on the market today have a "message waiting" or "voicemail indicator" light that will blink when you have voicemail. Vonage also gives you a "stutter" dialtone when you have voicemail, so all you have to do is pick up the phone and listent to the dialtone. No need to call in. |

Does anyone else have problems with the voice mail indicator continuing to blink after messages have been erased? It happens to mine sporadically and then goes off seemingly randomly, usually after another message is received and voicemail is checked. |

Maybe you haven't but in searching around the forums I found a few others who've had this problem. Apparently it's slated to be fixed. |

I also have not had that problem and have been using Vonage since October, 2004.

| On the RTP300 the phone light blinks slowly if there's a voicemail. You also get a stutter in the dial tone when you pick up a receiver if there's voicemail waiting. I think I've read on here about people with phone systems that have a flashing light when there's voicemail. |
PAP2's do this too.
I'm pretty sure all the adapters with the TI chipset do.. |

Great. These units look really nice. How is their sound/voice quality? The speakerphone, is it also good quality?
Thanks

Never used the speakerphone feature, the voice quality is good, we like the phones, it came with 3 handsets and we have number 4 on order. |

I use the Uniden TRU8866 expandable, the speakerphones on the handsets are great. |
