When setting the Network Availability Number, will calls be forwarded only if my internet connection is down, or will it also forward if somebody is using the phone?
I would like to set it so it will forward to my cell phone if the network is down, but go to voice mail if the phone is busy, (and the call waiting is not picked up).
Thanks. I don't post much because usually my question has already been answered in previous posts.

It will only forward to the network availability number if your router/adapter is unreachable. If you are the phone you will get the call waiting beep (presuming your phone supports it) and then the caller will go to voicemail if you don't answer.
On a side note - does anyone know if Vonage supports the advanced call waiting features available on some phones? ie. ask the caller to hold, send straight to voicemail, etc. |

Another question, if the call is forwarded to my cell phone, and I don't answer the cell phone, will the voice mail go back to my Vonage phone, or straight to my cell phone voice mail?
And wil the caller ID on my cell phone show the actual caller, or my Vonage home phone number?

call forwarding does just that. it forwards the call the another line. however that other line handles the call (rings forever, answering maching, voicemail, etc) is how the call will be handled. the caller id will be that of the calling party. it's exactly like pots.
Vonage doesn't support call waiting deluxe features. |

NNA only works if your adapter is unreachable *AND* you do not have a call forwarding scheme configured. If you use Simulring or Call Forwarding, then it will function as it always does, regardless of the adapter being present/absent. |
