When I logged in last night I saw the one message that I had saved in my voicemail (the first time I have ever seen a message on the web). I then called from my cell and left myself a voicemail.
Sure enough, it also appeared on the web. Both messages also played correctly. |

After reading that the web emailmis working I called and left myself a message. It was short, long enough to say "Hey, it's me. Call me back", and then I pressed the # key to end the call. Something I am sure most callers will not do. This call was not recorded at all. No email message about it, no flashing indicator, no sign of it on the web page, and not even an entry in the call history of an incoming call.
Okay, granted, how many voice messages are this short. Very few. But, it is still worrisome.
Called again and left a longer message. 4 seconds. It all worked as advertised this time. So, progress is being made. |

Also, several days ago I submitted an email to customer care about this issue. I got a response today and at the end of the response was the following:
"We post any systemic issues via the web account which can be accessed at www.vonage.com . Once resolved the post will reflect an update."
Did anyone see this? Does anyone know where this would have been posted? I just assumed it would be on the Dashboard page where is says "Service Announcements". I never saw anything under this heading.
As a new user, I am just trying to understand how these things are communicated so I don't spin my wheels trying to track down a problem.

Just went to my voicemail inbox on the web where I had a new message. When I click to listen to it I get the following:
Error
Sorry, a system error has occurred. Please try again later
So, I went to my trash folder and tried to play a message there. Same error.
Work around? Always have your messages attached to an email so you can be certain to get them. Seems the web interface has a ways to go before it is reliable. |
