If essdeek is open to help others I would appriciate it. |

Well, I was actually replying to ITGeeks.
That being said, I would send essdeek a PM and ask him/her if he/she would be willing to help you out. The Vonage reps that participate here do so on their own time because they really want to help. |

Being new here I was kinda waiting to get a better understanding of the community before sending PM's. I think I will send him/her/it a PM. |

Voicemail is very slow at 4:44PM ET. You have to wait about 30 seconds after pressing *123 and then you get a password prompt. You enter your password and it takes 30 seconds to get prompts. Prompts are very slow too. Just figured I would report this |

hey guys, im a he
if you notice the coincidence, the voicemail problem is happening with new customer activations. the reason this is accuring is because new customers as of approximatly 3 weeks ago were being placed on a IMAP server that isn't correctly displaying voicemail notification on your dashboard. it is a known issue, and is presently being worked on by our engineers. calling into customer care is going to do absolutly nothing for you in this case. they expect to have this issue resolved very shortly, and will require no work from you. i apologize for this inconvenience, but again, it is a known issue, and is being worked on. you can still check your voicemail by dialing *123, or calling one of the local access numbers available on the website. |

That is what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the info. Other than this (and my number porting headache) I am very happy with Vonage so far.
I do appreciate you hanging around here to give us a little insight into what is going on with Vonage. Thanks! |

Except that my problem is a tad different, and I've had to disable voicemail (a feature with features I really liked) and revert back to my hardware answering machine as a result.
And I've received exactly ZERO RESPONSE from Vonage to my ticket submission.
Beginning to wonder if this is such a good idea, if problems are going to crop up and customer support dont reply in 24 hours.
Why am I imagining like only five or six guys working frantically to fix a massive backlog of errors?? |

I called tech support about this. After being on hold 20 minutes they hung up on me. Called again, adter 20 minutes I reached India. Tech (ha ha) told me this feature had a problem and would be fixed by the end of the day. That was 5 days ago.
My gripe, why not post this fact in the Dashboard under service announcements or otherwise post a notice so I don't waste my time trying to reach tech support on a known issue. How hard could that be? |
