One simple solution is to get a free UK number that will ring your USA number. then tell UK friends to dial this number (your USA number will receive the calls). Uk friends will pay for call in UK as for local calls. |

So, to clarify:
800 numbers don't count against your long distance quota (on the mid-tier plan), right?
I get 3.7 cents a minute on my AT&T card, so I only plan to supplement that with Vonage's 500 minutes (rather than replace it altogether), since I'd rather prepay for long distance.

As far as travelling goes, I travel quite a bit, and take my router with me. It doesn't take up much room in a suitcase, and I have had great success. Calls are also free. And depending on hotel, and how close my room is to the bar, I can still use my 5.8 Ghz cordless.......BONUS  |
