Previously, Simring would always work whether or not the Vonage adapter was connected and online.
Now, we have noticed that if the adapter is offline for whatever reason, callers get fast busy tone instead of getting ringback tone and the Simring device rings once then stops. Network Availability number is not set.
Is this a temporary bug, or a new "feature"? |

From the Network Availability Number Help:
Your Network Availability Number is similar to Call Forwarding, except that it's activated only when your Internet connection is disrupted or your telephone adapter is disconnected. Once activated, calls to your Vonage phone number will forward to the number you choose until your Internet connection is restored. Please note, if Call Forwarding is enabled, all calls will be forwarded to the Call Forwarding settings, not to the Network Availability Number settings.
This clearly indicates that the call forwarding (sim-ring) should work whether or not Network Availability Number is set.
I hope this is fixed soon; it is causing serious issues for our users with flaky internet connections. |
