Post subject: Block abusive callers
We've had our phone number nearly 20 years before porting to Verizon. Over the past few months some jerk has been misdialing our number-- chronic/habitually-- in the middle of the night, usually between 1am and 4am.
Even if we did not have Call Block, Verizon would still filter out an abusive caller.
Vonage
tells me they cannot. Even with this MIRACLE of technology and a HUGE feature set that includes virtually every toy under the sun, they claim it's not possible for them to simply BLOCK a phone number.
MY WISH: Even if
Vonage
does not offer number blocking in the control panel as a feature, at least make it possible for a tech to put a filter on inbound calls to block an abusive number.

Of course it's possible, as it is supported in nearly every other standards-based
VOIP
application on the planet.

CHOOSES not to roll this out - perhaps they have a very good reason - or perhaps not. I don't know. It would seem as though there is no technology barrier here - this is a business decision.
