Hi, my wife and I both have sprint cell lines and both phones are unable to connect to my wife's Vonage line. When calling, it rings once and then a voice says "this service is unavailable at this time." The voice sounds just like the sprint female voice used for sprint voicemail and the CS menu system.
Otherwise, we can call out on the Vonage line and receive calls from other people. But I fear sprint might not be the only one with this issue. Or maybe sprint is actively blocking these calls?
Has anyone else had issues like this? This is my wife's work line so it's really going to be a problem...
TIA |

People have had issues like this before. I have heard that you need to call customer service and try to get them to fix some sorta database and it should work after that. Im sure someone else that has had an issue like this could help you further. |

If you're in an area that doesn't require 10-digit dialing, try dialing 10 digits. Sometimes that will make the call connect. |

Her sprint number is in the same area code as the Vonage line and mine is long distance. I tried 10 digit with and without the 1 with no luck. I've asked her to try calling my sprint line from the Vonage line. I'll report back with the results. We already called Vonage once about this last week and got the "we're having issues" repsonse...no mention of a database to be updated... |

If you are able to dial your Vonage phone from other non-Vonage phones but not the Sprint cell phones, then the issue is with Sprint and their call routing. Best step is to call Sprint and report the problem. Most likely they have a mis-configured switch somewhere. |

That sounds right too. I think people were having trouble with Cingular/ATT and the spoke to their cellular carrier and they fixed the issue.
Im sure Vonage will blame Sprint and Sprint will blame Vonage though. People are just lazy and dont feel like doing their jobs these days |

I just tried my sprint phone (401) to the Vonage line (978) and it is still giving me the message. |

Sounds like you would have to dial 1-978-XXX-XXXX to get your Vonage line. |

Do you have any friends with a Sprint cell? Have them call your Vonage phone number and see if that helps isolate where the problem is. |
