I have been using Vonage for about a week now and it seems to be working fine. There is one quirk that does bother me though. When someone calls me and I get a voicemail, the email reads like this:
Date: Jan 2 2006 02:58:58 PM
From: Outside Caller (1905XXXXXXX)
To : My_Name (1905XXXXXXX)
You have 1 unreviewed message(s).
When I check my phone, or the Dashboard it shows the CID info, but the emails only show "Outside Caller". Is anyone else having this problem, or know how to fix it?

That's the same emails I get, I don't think its an issue, I think that's just the way they send them. I thought the same thing though, if they know the CID, why not send it in the email. Probably soem technical issue or reason they don't. |

yup, thats te correct formatting of the msg.. it's too bad they do it that way, but thats how it is..
there has been previous talk of this many months ago..
I have my VM notifications sent to my cell phone, so trying to figure out who called is a pain with only knowing hte number, but hey, atleast they send the number, it could be worse, they could just say "you have mail" and be done with it..
maybe one day, lol, likely the same day that ACR shows up.. hahaha I'm thinking Feb 31st at 5:75am... haha |
