I am having the same problems as most of you here... 3 disconnects a day w/ no dial-tone afterward! I don't use my home telephone that often and have been extremely busy lately, so my wife is who suffers. However, I called Tech Support the other day and they recommended I run a ping plotter test on my home network. It indeed shows that there is some packet loss somewhere in the communication from the MTA to the router and then to the internet (something in that nature). I am still waiting on an answer after I sent in a copy of the results. In the meantime, a different tech suggested that I get the latest firmware and (knock on wood) so far I haven't had any disconnects in the last 24 hrs. or so. I spoke w/ a gentleman by the name, V. Jackson, if someone wants to try that ping plotter diag. test. I really hope that Vonage can determine what the issues are so that they can be addressed and we can finally have a service that is good for the average consumer and not big business! |
