If I used this device I would be routing all my family members offnet outbound cell calls through my Vonage ATA. A lot more day time calling will suddenly appear, like close to 1000 mins so I quess I might get a call. But if I can show all the calls are to "personal" numbers how can they charge me for "business" calls.

According to the TOS they can do whatever they want. All they have to do is determine, at their sole discretion, that your calling patterns don't match what they consider a residential calling pattern. They really left themselves a lot of wiggle room with the way they wrote the TOS. Whether or not they will do this is anybody's guess.

They do. Vonage doesn't play when it comes to money.

thanks for the heads up so what if I plug the the FX-300 into my PSTN line and route my cell calls over the pstn line instread of over my Voip service. I think it will work as well with this device.

I live over seas on limited assignment (21 month) and there is a 7 to 8 hour difference between the States and where I live. Therefore, the only time we can reach our loved ones in the States is during working business hours (9:00 am US time is 3:00pm my time, and 5:00pm US time is 12:00am my time), and the way my wife use the phone, we use tons on hours since there is a lot of catching up between our families and friends. Every time my wife opens the phone (3 to 8 times a day), she talk for 30 to 60 minutes. Some time she put the speakerphone on and cooks or cleans while she is talking blah blah . You do not want to see my minute usage in a month. This is been going on for three month since we moved over seas Boo hoo! . Does this mean I will be expecting a phone call or rate change from Vonage Think Question

On another note, some times I have to call my US home office from my home to talk about business related topics because of time difference but this very minor (1 to 5% of my calls) Shame on you . Does this mean I am using my home line for business Question Exclamation Wink

I think the key here is not the content of the calls, but the duration and volume that is the issue here. Keep it under what Vonage considers business volume and I think you would be all right.
