Add my name to the list for making Caller ID the number one priority..

However, I do believe that there is no other solution provider that even comes close to matching the bang for buck that Vonage currently provides me..

I certainly don't miss the $200 plus monthly bills from both bell canada, and embark/sprint I once paid each month, but I do miss caller ID..

Make it a $5/mth option just like the telcos do for every service, and I'd be the first to sign up.. Make it free, and I'll preach the Vonage name to everyone I meet.

I am on the verge of switching my business phone line to a different company because Vonage can not implement putting my business name on the Caller ID name. I have had them for over a year now and they give the same story - we are working on it. I am paying quite a bit more for a business account and it seems a bit ridiculous that they can't put my business name on the caller ID. If I had known this I would have never signed up for them. I used to praise Vonage - but if they don't get this resolved very soon I will be forced to switch companies. I warn people, especially small businesses, which need to have their company name to display on the caller ID to complain to Vonage or search for another service.

I can't BELIEVE Vonage does not have outbound caller ID. I'm running a small business and this is killing me. I used to rave about Vonage, but not anymore. I have called their customer service multiple times and receive the same, stupid, "we're working on it" reply. It has been than a year now! How long can this take?? I am giving Vonage just a few more months to get this problem fixed then I'm outta here! Seriously, this is a major problem for small companies like mine, and a minor issue for Vonage. If they are smart, they will get this issue fixed ASAP.

Looking at the age of this thread is real depressing! People have been griping about no outbound name for almost 3 years and still no dice. It's no wonder their customer churn is so high, they refuse to delever the basics.

I am getting sick and tired of getting voicemail because no one will answer the phone when CID displays "Out of Area"... pathetic!

My sentiments exactly. I have moved my home line to our cable co for the "triple play" savings (savings should be in quotes too...lol), but if I can't display my business name I look like small potatoes to other businesses.

BTW...Mine doesn't say "out of area"..it says VONAGE!

I sent a snail mail letter to Vonage about this issue. I got the stupid response below:

"At this time, Vonage does not support outbound CID. We will be supporting the feature in the near future. Vonage will contact you once the feature is available."

"Near future" is already several years old...
