I am not sure what has happened, but my linksys router stopped producing a dialtone earlier this morning. I have tried numerous times to reboot this thing, but the only lights that are lit are Internet and LAN3
Router still restarting. Please wait a moment is all i see in the status page, and this has been here for hours.

that's my thread the link goes to, the same thing happened to me two days ago, I finally got through to Vonage when a friend with a cell came on, I was on the phone for an hour with them (on daytime minutes) and they had me go through all the power cycles and resets and stuff, and nothing work. "Settings are failed" is what I get when I try to restore factory settings. They said that I would have to buy another router these things just happen. The account is under my bosses name and they said that the waranty expired but actually it hasn't for my router since I got mine after his. URG...this is very frustrating not to have a phone, especially since this is my vacation and it ends on Monday...so this is my time to catch up with friends and family since work has been really intense. ARG!!! |

I did follow the directions in the thread reebok...which ones are you saying I didn't follow? I've emailed them, haven't heard back...I pm'd jdr30, but I haven't heard back yet on that one either (although I'm sure jdr could be busy seeing as it's holiday season and all) and I've tried all the remedies I've read on the site from others having problems. It just sounds like I need a new one and hopefully they won't make me pay for another one. |

ok, I didn't get the impression you pm'd him since you were talking about being on the phone. even if it does take him a little bit, you'll save yourself a lot of frustration by holding out for him. unfortunate as that is. |

Yeah I did pm him, but i also called them just in case. They just responded to my email a few minutes ago. They gave me some new steps to try (which probably won't work, but some of them I haven't seen before in that order so I'll try it anyways.) i'll keep you updated. |

I have been on the phone with Vonage support and they are sending me a new router. I am not convinced that the router is the issue. |

I was speaking for my problem. I willl let you know when the new router arrives.
But if it is not the router it could be the service. |
