I can access my tivo via the web, and change recording options, stream shows off my tivo, delete shows, add shows, etc.
Has nothing to do with Vonage. Go to www.tivocommunity.com and check it out. I also pulled the 40GB drive, and put in a 120 GB one. |

Stream your recordings from your TiVo across the internet? Anyway you could direct me on how to configure my unit for that? |

Already know what your talking about, but you can't access Directv Tivos from the web. I thought maybe there was some program you could use, that would make the Tivo think it was dialing into the network server it usually dials into, but it would really be dailing a network server on your own computer. if you could do this you could possibly use the keyboard to enter commands, and enable the USB Ports on the Tivo. (yes, this can be done, but it's just a matter of being able to access the Tivo in this way) |

Well, what is he talking about? I have a Series 2 standalone recorder (not directTV), and I would find it very convient to stream shows across the internet. How would I go about doing this? |

Boy, you TIVO people really should look into buying ReplayTV next time around... this is all old hat for us (including fooling the unit into connecting to your PC instead of the Replay servers). |

Uhhhh go READ you guys. Geeesh. www.tivocommunity.com or a google search on HACKING TIVO. ANd yes you can hack DirectTV units. My friend just pulled down the a show and gave it to me on a DVDR.
It's not an easy process, but there are TONS of resources documenting how to do this online.
Go learn. |
