So far nothing has worked and I need my phone Sad. I don't have a cell and noone with a phone is going to be at home for a few days on my floor, any suggetions?

I've never seen a router with that problem that was resolved with anything other than a replacement.
in other words, I think it's probably dead.

Since this thread seems to have a couple of smart people in it, here's a question for you.

My Linksys RT31P2 power light is continuously flashing and the line status lights never come on. I can not access the web page of the router and think it is dead.

If I call Vonage as ask for a replacement, how much will they charge me for it since I am past warranty? Could be cheaper to go to a Best Buy/Staples and buy one there and have it today.

Assuming that I need a new one, once I get it, how do I transfer my account to this new router and can I do it without calling Tech Support and waiting on hold for 4 hours?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

sounds dead.
did you get it from vonage? if so, they should replace it.
if you want to buy your own, someone recently pointed out you can go to vonage.com/activate and add your own device. if you do it let me know how it works out.

According to them there is only a 30 day warranty on their devices, so I haven't had any luck in trying to get them to replace it. URG! This is the half broke ass link they sent me lol...

http://www.vonage.com/no_flash/help.php?article=183&category=

Has anyone had any luck getting Vonage to replace them after the 30 day warranty (I got my router in July).

many, many people have had it replaced. there are probably hundreds of posts on it. I had mine replaced after a year. unless they're enforcing the policy now and they didn't before...
