I'm entertained by their mony back guarantee.

30 days and you can't use more than 250 minutes.

Okay. It takes 10 days to get your adapter. That leaves 20 days for a proper evaluation? Meanwhile, you're paying for your service while they fulfill your order and while the adapter is enroute. You can't use the service you are paying on for 10 days.

And 4 hours of usage? Give me a break! I'm just finding out how much I dislike this service and that took 4 hours of use to get there.

Question Rolling Eyes Question

Try updating your firmware, resetting yoru router and posting some of your test #'s for a little help instead of just **** about it. You'd be surprised how well the service works if things are set up right and perhaps tweaked a bit. In the end it will only be as good as your internet connection though since you are using it to make the calls.

You could have also bought the router in a retail store if you didn't want to wait.

You are either charged for the first month, the shipping & handling, or the Activation Charge. We do not let people try the service for free. And if you don't like it you get all your money back including the taxes.

If there wasn't a time limit, all kinds of sneaky people would be starting up new accounts, using tons of minutes and then cancelling on the 29th day and opening a new account.

You do realize that those "minutes" are outgoing only, right? Incoming calls are not included. Vonage doesn't may you pay for incoming calls like cell phone companies do.

Besides, as soon as your account is opened, you CAN start using many of the Vonage features, such as incoming call forwarding and such. If you buy a car, doesn't the dealer ask for some sort of payment up front? I'm not at home for at least 10 hours a day. Do you think that the bank is going to cut my mortgage payment? After all, I can't use my house if I'm not at home.

And, as someone else said, you want to tell us what's wrong or just complain?

I happen to agree with the poster's points. When I first signed up, I took was very upset that it took over a week for my adapter to arrive and then I only had 250 minutes of time to use within 3 weeks. With a service such as Voip that is very dynamic, it would be nice if Vonage would not start the time clock until you call in and activate your adapter (so you really start using it, thus incurring costs on their end) and raise the 250 minutes to 500 minutes in order to get a fair assessment of how good the service is going to be. I agree there can be room for abuse in this kind of situation, however, in order for the honest people to be able to see if they're going to be happy with the service, there definitely needs to be a little more time given. Just my 2 cents.
