I own a business with 3 CO POTS lines. Here's my little bit 'o weirdness...
When place a call from my office POTS lines to my home (which has Vonage), different caller ID names show up (other than my business name).
When I call from my office POTS lines to somewhere who has a Verizon POTS line, the correct info shows up on the caller ID.
Can anybody explain this to me? I obviously want the correct thing showing up since it is my business.

First have your carrier put in a ticket to investigate the issue with that. If they say it's our side, then call us and have us put a ticket in then we will investigate it.
Ticket first on your POTS line carrier.
Ticket second on our side. |

I called Verizon (my POTS carrier at the office) and started a ticket. It took a day, but they told me everything was being reported correctly.
I'll give Vonage a call.

Gave Vonage a call - they said they are having an issue with the caller ID displaying the wrong information and that they are currently workin gon it. That was all the guy said.
By the way, I had a 0 minute "on hold' time with them, but I called at 5:45 AM Eastern time.

I have the same issue just with 2 people who call me. It displays a phantom name on the Vonage Caller ID when I get it. However, it is the same name each time for each number.
I'm betting that it is just picking up the next entry in the database if a number is not found. |
