I.e., I have voice mail via the phone line, the "blinking" dial tone works, it emails me the voice mails when I get them, but when I go to the web page to the voice mail section, the voice mails are not listed. Getting voice mails on the web was one of the big reasons for switching to Vonage. I've called technical support several times, and they say that this is a known problem, but its been several weeks now (and several phone calls). If they don't switch soon, or at least give me information more than some guy just saying it is a known problem (which doesn't help if it isn't fixed), I'll switch to some other Voip system. |
I take some encouragement I am not alone. I did get an email from Vonage 2 days ago that said:
| Quote: | "Thank you for contacting Vonage Customer Care.
We understand that you are getting beep tones even after deleting voice mails.Kindly apologize for the late response. Due to maintenance being performed on some of our systems we experienced a brief outage with the service.
Our engineers have worked diligently to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologize for any convenience that this may have caused." |
This inaccurately describes my (now thanks to you, "our") problem and am left with an overall sense that I am being ignored and some other issue, which is also common is what they think I have. For now I have voicemail off and forwarding to my cell, but with each passing day I get more and more frustrated. |

Yeah, makes me grumpy too. Nearly half of the time I delete a VM (and yes, * out of the system) the stutter tone and blinking message indicator on the base unit and "new messages" on the handsets all remain. I can call from my cellphone and leave a message, go back and delete it and most of the time it works, but it's getting to be a big pain in the ass because its definitely becoming more frequent. |

I am at least now able to get voicemail attachments in email, but I still do not see those voicemails on the website. I sent another email to CS, but since none have been answered yet, I am not holding my breath! |

Thanks for all the replies.
Just as an update, I'm still not seeing any voice mails listed on the web site (but they are there when calling, say, *123). |
