I am becoming very upset due to Vonage's frequent web dashboard outages in which I rely on quite a bit. Every time I try to login, I get a "Page could not be displayed error." Sometimes, I get a Vonage error screen, but all-in-all I frequently encounter errors with the dashboard and wonder what in the world is going on in the back end of Vonage's web site.

It is the beginning of a business day, and I am once again unable to login to my account and turn off the instant "send to voicemail" setting so that I can receive calls. The last time this happened recently, the web site was down for 1 1/2 days!

This is causing me to seriously consider moving to a more reliable Voip company. Vonage's web site goes down far too often than it should. I am sure that Vonage is working on the web site, but I am writing this as more of a complaint than request of assistance.

Vonage needs improve its web site reliability and keep it from going down as often as it does.

You are right, of course, that the website should be more reliable. Given that it isn't, one suggestion that someone made awhile back for handling your kind of situation is to not use the instant voicemail setting. Instead, simply unplug your adapter at the end of the business day. This will send your calls to the network outage number that you've set up. If you don't care for that, turn off the network outage feature and they should go to voicemail. At the beginning of a new business day, plug the adapter back in and you're ready to fly.

It's not an ideal solution, but until Vonage realizes that phone features really need to be controlled from the phone, it may be a good work around.

It seems it's becoming more frequent as of late. I was more patient & understanding when they were moving offices and equipment around, but whats the deal now. Crash

They can have 100% uptime for the sign-up page but for existing customers, if it's out 2 or 3 times a week for several hours then it's no big deal. The Dashboard needs to be the same "Mission Critical" server type as the regular Vonage page IMO.

Well, I think I'm done with Vonage.

Little did I know that if Vonage is down and my calls are forwarded to my cellphone, that it goes right to my voicemail...and what I mean is, they're automatically logged into my voicemail! I can't get to the webpage to change the call forwarding options so now my cell phone is wide open.

Also, I try to call Vonage and after I choose my options I get a fast busy.

I've been trying to get a firmware upgrade for my rt31p2 for weeks with no joy. I'm pretty much at the end of my teather. I use Vonage for business and I cannot afford to have bad phone service.

Regards
Nigel

Are you saying that when people call your Vonage-based phone number, which is currently set to forward to your cell phone, they are passed to your voicemail and the security code is somehow entered giving them full access to your cell phone's voicemail account?

Exactly...and no, you're not going to test it for me!

I would contact your cell phone company and find out why they are allowing people into your voicemail. They shouldn't be able to access your voicemail without entering the security code.

Sounds like your VM from you cel provider is messed up. This isn't Vonage's problem, though it would be nice if you could stop the forwarding.

I'm a new Vonage customer and I'm already pretty fed up after two days. The service certainly isn't as advertised.
