call me crazy, but wouldn't the "Vonage Service Status" box over there be a good place to annouce a current service issue, like say... dashboard being down? Thanks for taking the time to put up an ad, but you kinda cant even get to the "Add-on's" section at the moment. Rolling Eyes

Unfortunately, my phone is forwarded and I now have no way to un-forward it. Vonage really needs to look into a way to make features like call forwarding, available without having to login to the dashboard.

Yep. I've got the same problem, and today I've explained to CS today that if I don't have a way to forward and unforward using the phone by the end of my current payment period (and some other issues resolved as well) I'm gone.

I cancelled one line today. Two more to go.

Sad

I just wanted to add that you CAN get a credit over the phone; I've done it in the past and I'll do it again.

I've posted here before when I asked for a month credit because of the unavailability of the call forwarding and call forwarding shutoff. They gave me $10. I'll be asking for $10 for today and another $10 if it's still off tomorrow.

Of course that doesn't even necessarily cover my extra charges on my cell line, but that's life.

I've already decided that I'll pay twice as much per month if necessary to get decent phone service.

Now I just have to find decent phone service.

It may end up being from Verizon.

Sad

I agree. This is my situation right now as well. I forwarded my incoming calls to another number while I was away from home this week. I came home this afternoon and am unable to get my calls to ring back at home again.

I got through to the customer service phone line three times this afternoon-- was disconnected once after giving all my info to the rep; got another representative who was dyslexic and kept repeating my phone number back to me with digits scrambled up and then wouldn't talk to me because the number and account name didn't match (ya think?), and on the third try was finally told by a supervisor, incredibly, that not even Vonage themselves had a back door into their system to turn off features-- that they could only be deactivated via the web interface. He kept talking about "the engineers upstairs" so I'm pretty sure he wasn't an offshore rep and was probably pretty clued in on what was going on. But he wouldn't say how long the web outage was going to last.

I said, "let me get this straight-- not even Vonage has a way into their systems when the web goes down? No backdoor?" Nope, he said, we don't. Pretty sad, I would say.

One has to wonder how good the service is that they are promoting when they can't even keep their own phones working long enough to resolve a service issue.

That's what makes me laugh (or cry, to be more accurate) about Vonage. The techs are just as dependant on the site as we are, so if the site is down, there is nothing they can do to fix it. Real nice.

Site down again after being up briefly. At least I was able to change my call forwarding, but need to do it again in an hour.

Cheers.

I don't know how you guys are getting in, even briefly. I've been trying all day and, on the occasions when I can actually get to the HTTPS login page I fill in my login information and:

a) Get a server cannot be found error page.
b) The page acts like its loading, and loading, and loading, goto (a).
c) The HTTPS login page just reloads itself with my login information blanked out.
