Mine looks a little newer:
Software Version: VT20_01.1.16 Bootrom Version: VT20_01.1.16 Hardware Version: Model: VT1000 Revision: 0 BSP: 1.2/0 Config File Version: 6769935
Has anybody found what changes are made in what versions? |

FYI my MOTO is behind my Netgear RP614v2 router and has provided pristine service for about 2 months now with no crashes, lack of dialtone, or interupts of my internet service. I checked my firmware today and it is currently
SOFTWARE VERSION VT20_01.1.16 BOOTROM VERSION VT20_01.1.16 HARDWARE VERSION MODEL:VT1000 REVISION: 0 BSP:1.2/0 COFIG FILE VERSION: 6722497
I know that the MOTO received an update behind the router as I checked the firmware last week and it was VT20_01.1.14 (sorry don't have the config file version but I recall that it was lower) so it appears as though the MOTO receives updates from behind a Netgear RP614v2 router anyway.
Hope this helps |

Hi folks, Maybe someone can shed a little more light on this Moto Connection thing (I’m trying).
I’m still unable to connect to 192.168.102.1 with my web browser. (That’s the problem)
FYI: Both the Moto box and my PC are behind a Linksys BEFRS41 router. The Moto box is on port 1 and the Computer is on port 2. I had initially let the Router do a DHCP IP Address assignment, and the DHCP Client table showed the Moto box as 192.168.1.100
But, I can’t ping 192.168.1.100 nor can I ping 192.168.102.1.
So, next change the PC’s IP address to (static) 192.168.102.7 (sub net mask 255.255.255.0), and made the Default gateway 192.168.102.1
Still nothing. Can anyone see the missing steps (I may have forgotten)?
Looking forward to any responses.

Hi Bill,
As I understand it, you have a linksys cable/dsl router. Your computer's ethernet card (or wireless card) connects to a lan port on the linksys and gets its IP address via DHCP from the linksys. Your Voice Terminal's WAN port is also connected to a lan port on the linksys and also gets its IP address via DHCP from the linksys. As far as I can determine, nothing is connected to the voice adapter's PC port.
And that may be why you can't get the web interface -- because for security reasons it's only available from the PC port of the voice terminal. (otherwise, random clients on Internet could connect to and change your settings).
Right Now you have:
INTERNET -> LINKSYS -> PCs and VOICE TERMINAL
To be able to see the configuration page, you could try this:
INTERNET -> VOICE TERMINAL -> LINKSYS -> PCs
Connect your cable modem/dsl modem/whatever (whatever's plugged into the WAN port on the linksys) to the WAN port on the voice terminal.
Then connect the PC port on your voice terminal to the WAN port on the linksys.
if DHCP/NAT is enabled on your voice terminal (I think it is by default), then powering everything down and back on again should do the trick.
NOTE: If you use a cable modem, it might be "married" to the MAC address of a particular PC. If so (you'd probably remember if you had to do this for the linksys), or if DHCP/NAT are not enabled on the voice terminal, you might need to connect an actual single PC to the PC port to set things up before you connect everything as I've described.

Thank You Benjamin (and eveyone else)!
After I read your post I seem to remember either reading or hearing that you cannot get to the Moto box unless you are connected to the PC port. Initially; I was not, but now I am.
Thanks again Bill |

Just thought I would pass along the imformation that my motorola ATA has also been upgraded while being a router. I was a little worried about that but seems to be OK |
