Post subject: Busy Signal
I get a busy signal when I have set up my
Vonage
. I have the linksys phone adapter. It does not show that I have a phone hooked up to the adapter. Any Suggestions?

You would do better to post this to the
Voip
forum (or have the forum administrator move it for you). This group is dedicated to fixing problems with using
Vonage
with your house wiring.
In any case, you need to give us more information to help you. Start with the things listed here:
http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic7191.html
. I gather that you're a new customer and have never had the service working. You can certainly call customer service at 866 243 4357. They can probably help. Don't bother with Email;
Vonage
doesn't do too well with Email.
You say that you get a busy signal. I assume that this is when you try to call your
Vonage
number (?). Do you have the network connectivity number set up? You do this from your account web page. Which Linksys adapter do you have? Is the phone light (either one) on? Do you have internet service with the adapter connected up? Have you tried re-booting the system? The correct order, assuming you have the adapter plugged in to your modem and your computer plugged into the adapter, is to power up the modem first, then the adapter, then the computer.
