One day... one day... The most wanted features right now are:
1. Anonymous call block. 2. Call intercept
Someday in the future, no one knows when NO ONE don't bother to ask. |

Call forwarding and so on, configurable from the phone and not just online... e.g. *72 / *73 to turn on/off forwarding...
Call processing like Primus TalkBroadband in Canada has... it lets you do all sorts of neat stuff, ignore calls, bounce them to voicemail automatically, give them priority even when do not disturb mode is turned on, simultaneously ring other phones... all by the incoming number. It's very cool.
306 numbers... please...
Slightly cheaper alternate numbers...

Call Intercept is when someone is calling you (namely telemarketers) and they don't send their Caller ID so you won't know who's calling. Your phone won't ring, but the calling party will get a recording saying that because they are blocking their caller ID, they need to leave their name. Your phone will then ring with a special ring pattern, letting you know it's an incoming call intercept call. You pick up and listen to the name of the person calling you. You then have the option to take the call or send it to voicemail. Very nice feature. I used to have it with Verizon and it kept a lot of the telemarketing rift-raft out. Very nice. |

It is also a true pain in the butt if you receive a lot of international calls. |

ACR is nothing special. All it does is send the call right to voicemail. It does not totally block it, and it can be enabled right now by certian techs. |

It's the same thing as pressing ignore on your cell phone. What settings really will be cool is:
Call Inercept and Anonymous call BLOCK |

Hi,
Can you please expand upon that? I've heard that mentioned before. Everyone I've spoken to at Vonage, in customer service and in corporate, swears that there is no such option, not even in testing, that can be rolled out by certain techs.
Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Fax blasters are killing us.
Thanks, Lewis |

I don't want people to get sent to a voice mail system that is down half of the time. All I want is a message that tells them to dial *82 (unblocks their name/number) and call back. If someone does not know why they are being sent to my voicemail every time they try to call me then what is the use. When I call someone, I am interrupting them. That is why I do not block my number. I just expect the same curtesy from them. That way I can decide if I want to take there call of have my dependable answering machine take care of it. Does anyone else feel this way? Or do you just want your friends who block their numbers to get automaticaly sent to your voicemail? |
