I think the "second ring" solution works, because today is the first time I have ever seen this.
Scenario:
1. Called wife at home first time and she wasn't able to hear me; 2. Immediately called back. She answered immediately and could hear me, but with significant static.
In a normal case we *always* wait until the second ring to answer because the CID takes this long to show up.
OKAY, AND NOW RE MENTION MY BIG ISSUE FROM ABOVE:
I have been experiencing *many* occurences of #1, where we cannot hear the caller on an incoming call. This started to occur with the .58 update. I have seen one other mention of this on another thread, but things tend to get overwritten and lost in these dicussions.
SO, my questions are:
1. Is anyone else seeing this? 2. Has anyone gotten solution, advice, etc. about this?
This occurs with the WRTP54G, which has operated well for phone purposes for the last 2+ months. |
