This morning it started. Inbound calls from PSTN go to fast busy, from Vonage calls go right in. The problem was quickly isolated to customers whose numbers are tied to Focal Communications. Ostensibly there was some kind of hardware problem, that has since been cleaned up. I believe there were also problems with Telcove as well. Now we are seeing some of the same things with McLeod as well.
If you are having this fast busy problem from the PSTN (public phone network) but Vonage calls complete, or if you don't know anyone else with Vonage, hit up this link:
http://members.dandy.net/~czg/lca_prefix.php
plug in your area code (NPA) and exchange (NXX) and post here what the results are. |

From Central IL, having the same issues. Outbound calls are fine, all incoming calls result in fast busy. Dashboard only reports Iowa and Florida, but apparently this is a pretty wide-spread problem!! EDIT: We can only test Cell <-> Vonage - no idea if POTS or other Vonage users can call thru...

New Mexico. I called in and was told the whole Vonage network was down for incomming calls except for other Vonage. No voicemail, no call forwarding, no network unavailbility number - total failure with completely lost calls. No idea when it might be fixed. |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have 3 numbers with 908 area codes. For the last 3 weeks, during high call volume time, the people trying to call me get an error message from their carrier. I have 3 ticket numbers. The only thing their good for is wiping my BEHIND!! Today I spoke to a supervision in tier 2 and he promised me a call back the middle of next week. Right, like I'm waiting next to the phone for his call. I use these lines for a service business. The numbers are Vonage issued. I might have to just eat crow and get new numbers from ATTCV or Packet8. Very fustrating. DO NOT CALL Vonages Corp phone number, its a voice mail line. NO REAL PEOPLE. |
