the firmware version is up to date : 1.30.00......
So far since the packet setting changes took place I've made four phone calls each lasting around 20 minutes or more, no dropped calls yet........ crossing my fingers... |

I don't have an RT31P2, but from reading other posts, you're a little behind on the firmware. There is at least a 1.30.01, saw someone else with 1.30.04.
Try to convince them to send you an RTP300. The RT31P2 is junk. |

Hey EzCo, I also started experiencing dropped calls with the .58 firmware. This afternoon the entire service appears to have stopped working, as calls to the house are being forwarded to my wife's cellphone. I am at work so can't check it out yet.
Was .60 pushed to you automatically or did you have to do something to get it? It may be that the update was pushed to me today but the restart didn't quick make it through. We shall see.... |

Hi Staaver - Yes .60 was automatically pushed to me. If you don't have it by now, you can call CS and they can force the upgrade process. Good luck! |

As I expected, my WRTP54G was update yesterday with .60 firmware. The automatic restart put the box into a bad state, however. A 30 second unplug and restart fixed the problem and all is well again.
Nothing to report yet on the performance of this new release, but hopefully it will clear up the drop-out problem we have been seeing since .58 |

Cautiously....Happy to report have not had a dropped call in the last 24 hours.
I can't honestly say what was the fix as so many people and I were working on this annoying problem.
I will tie up this thread and put it to rest with my latest test results...
Thanks to all who helped out.
