After all of the poor service issues I have had for months (ever since Vonage service was installed) which still continue, I find this morning I was charged for the telephone modem I returned!!!

I am curious about what problems you have had. All my problems with Vonage were due to my cable internet provider. Once Comcast restored my service after Hurricane Wilma, Vonage was up and running and solid. Even while Vonage was down, I got all my calls because I set up my cell phone number as the network down forwarding number. It DID take them 5 months to send me my rebate check, but, the service itself has been terrific. That is why I am curious about your experience.

Everything from poor sound quality, and long delays (especially to local exchange numbers), and "dead" periods when the person we are talking to can't hear us. The IP has been fully tested (upload & download times, latency checks, etc.) when bad calls happen, and my network is fine. I also have neighbors on the same network, using Time Warner digital phone service, and they have great quality telephone service!

Takeda,
Do you mind if we see those numbers? Do the speed test on this forum and try www.testyourvoip.com and post the detailed results. Couldn't hurt, right?

I have spent hours running tests on my IP to help Vonage fix THEIR problem, I'm not spending any more time!! I have already applied for Time Warner Digital phone service, it's worth $10 to
have a clear, reliable telephone service!

My question now, is how to recover the $99 they charged me for a modem I shipped back to them!!

Well, I didn't see your results in that post, only your ISP and connection speed type info. Maybe you're just in an area that Vonage doesn't work well. Good Luck with Time-Warner, I hope your experience is better with them than Vonage.

Takeda, I had the same problem this morning. Call customer service, get to 2nd tier support, give them your tracking number. If it shows a 'delivered' status, they will issue a refund. Apparently, they are VERY behind in returns right now and are not processing returns before they are due. For instance, they received my return on the 13th, did not process it until yesterday, and sent me a $104.xx bill today because the return did not make it through their system on time. I suggested they extend the two week return window to three weeks until they catch up or they are bound to have a ton of angry customers on their hands.
