Sacramento, CA (916 area code) Comcast Cable Internet 6Mbps download / 768Kbps upload Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem Linksys PAP2 ATA Cable Modem -> Linksys WRV54G Router -> Linksys PAP2
Issue: When making outbound calls, the party receiving the call is unable to hear me, however I can hear them just fine. When receiving inbound calls, both parties have no problems. Already tried rebooting the cable modem, router, and PAP2 units. Tried hooking a single phone directly to PAP2. Tried connecting PAP2 to cable modem directly. Tried a different phone handset. Changed bandwidth saver on Vonage site between all 3 settings.
TestYourVoIP to Boston result: 4.1
Anyone else experiencing the same issue? Thanks. |

Yes, I am having the exact same issue in San Diego
San Diego, CA (858) Cox Communications / Cable PAP 2 Adapter Same config as yours otherwise
Another issue, when I call a celluar phone, it rings on my end but the cell does not.
I hate you, Vonage. Especially Jeff Citron. |

Thank you for letting me know.. I've been dealing with Vonage for an hour now while they try to figure it out. At least I know it's a service issue and not my hardware. Thanks again.
If anyone else is having the same problem, please post up. Thanks. |

OK, I'm on hold with customer-no-service for 17 minutes, and Now I got disconnected! Problems today - people call my Vonage number and they either get a fast-busy or it goes right to voicemail. Or, I call some one and they cannot hear me. What's going on? |

Time warner, road runner over-priced broadband.
Outgoing calls either ring once or give a busy signal. Incoming calls working okay. If a connection is actually made, the conversation is one-way, from our end and we can't hear the person on the other end.
Please, please tell me that this is a temporary condition!!! |

Topsham, ME (207 area code). Made a call to my mother's (also in Maine) and got silence several times. Ended up using a backup cell to talk to her.
Called voicemail and several other lines (out of state) and got audio just fine. Either the problem is cleared up or it's an in-state issue. |

I'm having a lot of the same issues here in the Philly suburbs. Sporadic ability to make outbound calls and inbound calls are getting to us about 50% of the time. Silence on one end, etc.
The only thing that changed for me was an upgrade to 1.00.58 on my RPT-300. |

Same here, as far as I can tell, on my WRTP54G. But mine was upgraded Sunday night / Monday morning, and it's worked fine until now. Of course, come to think of it, I may not have made any outbound phone calls since then until this evening... |

Same deal here (Phoenix, AZ... 480 area code.)
Calling outbound and the person on the other end can't hear me. Seems to be working fine in the opposite direction though (someone calling me, no issues.)
For the record, not that it seems to be equipment related, PAP2 -> WRT54GS running DD-WRT -> Motorols SB5100 -> Cox HSI. |
