Ever since this morning I'm expreriencing problems with voicemail. When the call stops ringing to me, the caller just hears nothing, and eventually it goes to a busy signal. When I try to check voicemail, it just rings until it seems to do a timeout and go to a busy signal as well.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Same here. My VM light has been on since last saturday. I have made sure that there are no undeleted message in VoiceMail trash. I checked my VM via my phone and exited normally, but still the light does not go away.
I am not going to disable the VM detection tone from my Panasonic phone.

Hopefully someone here can find a resolution.

Thank You
Shahtech

I have been having a similar issue. Yesterday, someone complained that they tried to call me twice and got my voice mail. However, after hearing the voice mail greeting, the line dropped.

In the past, we've also had messages cut off in the middle.

Try to login into ur Vonage account on the webpage, go to voicemail, and delete everything in ur trash folder. That's what i did and it worked fine for me.

vm was fixed last night by 7PM Eastern - down about 4 hours for me.

My two methods of turning off VMWI light

1) log in to vm and then press star - it will stay 'thank you for calling- goodbye" - hang up and take phone off hook again - stutter dial tone should be gone. If not.

2) log in and making sure you have no new messages press 3 - deleted messages and delete each one individually. Then press * and listen to the good bye message - stutter dial tone should be gone. If not.

3) Duct Tape.- actually others have suggested recycling ATA or disabling then enabling voicemail via your web interface.

For me 1st method usually works although not always and I have to do second.

Black electric tape works also.

try power cycling your phone too - that usually works. There is still an issue with VM. They are moving the physical hardware for the servers to the new HQ and also adding a 4th vmail cluster from what I am reading. Should be back to normal...eventually.

Any word when the constant VMWI light will go out?

I can't get through to anyone via 1-VONAGE-HELP, so I've quit trying to solve it tonight.

It's begining to drive me nuts as my VMWI light is very birght and annoying, and hasn't quit since last Saturday...

Noone here has mentioned what adapter/router they are using and having this problem. I have the RT31P2 and am having no issues with the voicemail light. Is everyone using the RTP300?

I tried all the steps listed above and my voicemail indicator and stutter dial tone will still not go out.
