My current configuration is below:
PAP2 Phone Adapter
Netgear Wireless Router WGR614
Earthlink thru Comcast 1Mdwn/292kup QOS 96%
Motorola SB5100 Cable Modem
I enabled call forwarding yesterday afternoon and I cannot get it to cancel. The web page shows call forwarding disabled but it still is forwarding. I reenabled it and set the transfer time to 20 seconds to allow me some time to answer at home. I then disabled it again but to no avail. It is still forwarding, now after 20 seconds.
I have also tried rebooting the PAP2 but that did no good.
Where is the forwarding being controlled? Why can the web page settings get out of sequence with reality?
Anyone else with this anoying problem |

You are not alone.
I had the same problem...I got it to cancel by disabling the network availability number and rebooting the phone adapter, in my case the Linksys one with the 3 ports. |

Whenever you have a problem with what we call "call flow" (call forwarding, network availability, call hunt, etc) you should log into your web account, disable voicemail, save settings, log out, log back in, re-enable voicemail and save. This rewrites the XML script for your phone number. Your call flow dial plan and hash password are contained in this XML script. See if this works for you. |
