You have a fairly high number of packet discards, both up and down. It might be worth a discussion with your ISP.

What do you mean when you say you've tried it both ways? How can you connect modem-pc-Vonage?

Have you tried re-booting everthing? Are your up and download speeds similar with and without the Vonage box in the setup?

What I mean is modem-router-vonage and yes I have rebooted everything. At least a couple times a day. I aven't checked up/down without the Vonage. I tried again this morning and it was 2.52 Mbps down and 364kbps up. I just recently switched from time warner digital phone. I had that for about 3 years without ever having a problem. I'm just trying to save money and have number portablity

Yes, cost savings are why many of us go with Vonage. I'd give both Vonage customer service and Time Warner a call, starting with Vonage. From the packet discards, I'd guess that the problem is with the ISP, but a call to Vonage should be a good first step.

thanks for the reply Steve, but I don't have the time or patience to deal with 2 hours of tech support or trying to get a company to fix a problem with a service that isn't theirs. With all the forums here and constant problems, I really see no value in the $ savings. Again, thank you and good luck
