Vonage don't have a clue how this works. I have played with some router settings but the

don't have a clue how this works. I have played with some router settings but the truth is I don't know what exactly they do. The advanced stuff anyway. Below is a picture of my exact network setup.

Here is how it is hooked up, the Surfboard hooks into the NR041's internet port. 1 computer is connected to the nr041. The NR041 has DHCP ON and has an ip address of 192.168.1.1

The nr041 is connected to the linksys via LAN TO LAN. The internet port on the linksys is NOT being used. I have DHCP on the linksys OFF. The ip of the linksys is 192.168.1.2. I have 2 computers connected to the linksys.

Next I have a linksys Voip rtp 300. The linksys is connected to the rtp's INTERNET port. The ip of the rtp300 is 192.168.15.1. DHCP IS ON. I have one computer connected to the rtp.

The ip's of the 4 computers are

pc1 192.168.1.100 (pc connected to the nr041)
pc2 192.168.1.101 (pc on the linksys)
pc3 192.168.1.102 (pc on the linksys)
rtp 192.168.1.103 (gives this address to the rtp300)
pc4 192.168.15.100 (pc on the rtp)

The nr041 gives ip's to the 3 computers, plus the rtp.

pc 1,2,3 can all see each other if you go into my network places, mshome. File and printer sharing work just fine. As for pc4, it has it's own network. If you go into mshome, it comes up, but it only lists itself as the only computer on the network.

The gateway for pc's 1-3 is 192.168.1.1 which the nr041 auto assigns to them. The gateway for pc4 is 192.168.15.1 which the rtp gives it.

I would just use the rtp as a switch, but if I DO NOT use the internet port on the rtp, my phone doesn't work.

So right now everything works perfect other than if you go into mshome, you can't see pc4 from comps 1-3. And from PC4 you can't see comps 1-3. 1-3 can all see each other.

Now I am guessing the reason being is because the gateways are different and they can't see each other. I could just use the rtp as the only dhcp server and use the others as a switch, but the way the house is layed out and the phone plugs into the rtp, I don't want to move any of the routers.

So using my current setup, how can I get pc's 1-4 all on 1 network so they all see each other?

I have set up small networks before, but have never really had to deal with something like this. I can go to start, run, from pc 4 and type it 192.168.1.XXX and I can connect to the other 3 computers that way, but that's not how I want it setup. I am hoping there is a better way to get them all on the same network.

Vonage seems to work fine with my current set up. I get a dial tone, incoming calls come in, cid works. So That part looks good.

Help with multiple routers and Vonage....

Sim-X, is there any particular reason why you need 3 routers? Why not reduce
The way the house is set up and where I have my phone, it wouldn't be the best road
It's not just you. :) Check out: RTP300 with WRT54GS - home network blinded
I see two problems. First, most home routers/switches/hubs/etc have a daisy
hmmm, I'm not at home right now, but will look into that when I get home thx
