I've received an e-mail from somebody claiming to be <survey@survey.equationresearch.com> doing a survey on behalf of Vonage. Since there is no direct connection in the e-mail back to Vonage, I assume it is a Phishing expedition.

Does anybody know if it is legitimate or not? I'd like the $10

TIA

PS. Here's some of the e-mail...
[i:5c7cc4049d][size=9:5c7cc4049d]As a valued Vonage customer, your opinions and feedback
are invaluable to us. We would like to invite you to
participate in a 25 to 30-minute online marketing research
survey to better understand you and your needs so we can
ultimately improve our service.

Please respond today! This invitation is being sent to a
very select group of individuals and we are hoping for as
close to 100% participation as possible.

** IN APPRECIATION OF YOU TAKING THE TIME TO COMPLETE
THIS SURVEY, we'll send you a check for $10! We are
also proud to offer the option of donating the $10 to
a charity of your choosing. **

To access the survey, simply click on the link below or copy
the entire URL into your Internet browser. The survey is best
viewed in Internet Explorer or Netscape.
Your responses will be kept completely confidential to Vonage.
As a result of your participation, you will not be contacted by
us or any other third party to try to sell you any products or
services.

We appreciate your time and honesty. It's only through people
like you that we can continually improve our quality of service.

We know how valuable your time is and we thank you for your input
and participation!

does anyone else agree with me that it would be helpful for there to be a vonage customer service page on this site listing the possible resources? maybe this thread can be that?? i found that vonage seems to be interacting and addressing customer service issues via the Vonage twitter account recently.

i am also well aware that you can call the customer service number: or reference the vonage customer support section for technical help...

besides those does anyone else have any suggestions? or agree that it would be helpful to have a customer service page?

that is really great.. i guess any business should need an online customer service to serve people even when they are just in the computer... nice idea..

Agreed, the usage of this forum as of late is an absolute joke. Action must be taken and as this forum is run by a business it would be expected of that business to monitor such a problem.

Are there any forum moderators? This forum has become a place for spammers and it keeps getting worse. Just look at the forum entries over the past few days. It makes the site look like a joke. Please do something or people (like me) will go elsewhere for information.
