I use Vonage in US and Europe. Does the VDV21-VD power adapter included work with both 110V and 220V?

The adaptor supports 110 - 220. I know because I just picked one up on the US ( circuit city ) for use in Singapore ( where we are on 220 ) and just plugged in for activation. Bought this VDV21 to replace my linksys + vonage router which is 110 only and needs an adaptor to be used with 220.

I'll call my ISP on Monday. The "other end" of the wireless link is a tower 4-5 miles away, but I can ask them about the download pause. Thanks for the advice.

Your max download pause is very high. That's the likely source of the problem. What happens if you plug the V-portal into the service at the other end of the wireless link?

I think that needs to be the first step. It's the phone company for the calling party that sends the caller ID information out. It's the called party's personal equipment that receives and displays it. You have evidence that your equipment is working, so......

Do you have a cell phone with CID that your mother can call?

I know the Qos is bad. I've seen as high as 68%, and I'm assuming this can't be a router problem since the router is behind the v-portal. I'm I stuck with occasional dropouts or is QoS more related to quality. Voice quality is just fine, but the dropped calls have got to go. Any help would be appreciated.

Impossible to use non-Vonage VOIP box?

Is it possible to get all the SIP settings using a packet sniffer. I tried Ethereal when I first got my RT31P2 vonage router but I couldn't get everything I needed (password).

I'd really prefer to use my all-in-one router than have to daisy-chain this box off it. Anyone had any luck?

Also, off topic I know, but it does relate to my ability to use a generic router: is it now possible to migrate a Vonage telephone number to another VOIP provider?

Tell us more: you have vonage service and 15 extensions. How are they connected?

If you are using a separate Vonage telephone number for each of these extensions, then Vonage voicemail is already available. If you have fewer than 15 Vonage numbers, then you are probably using a PBX of some kind to switch a small number of Vonage "trunks" to a larger number of extensions. In that case, your PBX vendor probably offers a voicemail add-on to the PBX.
