After submitting that last post, I went to recheck the 4 whozeewhat lines of numbers under the interfaces in the Registry Editor and had not changed one of the values ...

Before saying that all 4 changes didn't work, let me clarify some areas that I may have gone wrong:

Option A: Pretty straightforward. Tried it. No connection after rebooting.
