FYI - Just a quick check shows rates are different than home plans. Currently I set forward via the vonage web site to the number I want to call, then place the call, and unset the forward.

only way is to set up forwarding of your phone to the number, then your own number. When connection is established, turn off call forwarding (via the web).

But don't Satellite phones have specific country codes? Therefore they can't be dialed by 1+ area code, and hence not covered under the unlimited plan.

Supposedly the new adapter has QoS built in. But your router most likely too. So set QoS on a port for Vonage on your router, and the other three for your PCs...
