They block out going VOIP, but I don't think they block in coming calls to the country. I think the only way it won't work is if the person you are calling is using Vonage there.

When I call people only my number shows up (I never transferred my number to Vonage). When I receive a call I get the name and phone number.

I have been using a V-Tech phone with 2 "satellite handsets" without any issues going on 2 years now. Make sure you don't get the 2.4 ghz phones.

It isn't Vonage who is charging the taxes, they are the ones who have to collect it for your State government, so no matter who you go with you will be paying the same fees.

I stand corrected they do bill a month in advance and if you have international calls they will be on the next month. I had another look at my bill.
