I bought the IP8100-1 from vonage and was wondering if it is expandable with multiple handsets, and if so, how many? Is the 8100-1 and 8100-2 the same phone just the -2 comes with an extra handset ins ...

Also took a look at the startup spam the ATA logs.. seems it's running IPTables.. and as i never learned too much about iptables.. wondering if maybe the problem here is that the ATA is misconfiguring ...

Ok.. now i'm able to receive calls.. but when I try to make an outbound one I get an error stating the vonage device has no network connectivity still..

Suggestions?

Doh disregard that last edit.. made some progres... turned out i overlooked some settings in it and found one that let me manually set all the info.. so now I'm at least getting the green ready light. ...

Yea.. I have a x-over cable goin from WAN port to ETH2.. and I've also tried connecting the ATA to the switch with no success either via the LAN port using straight through cable.

The ATA is connected directly to ETH2.. and if by connecting the ATA to ETH1 .. are you suggesting connecting the ATA to the switch?

As for subnetting.. I'm only using the standard class C address ...
