Thanks for the help guys, but nothing worked. I still have static, changed the phone wires, put it in phone port 2, changed ethernet wires. Nothing seemed to work.

If you're sure it's dead, I would get a replacement at a retail store. Since you have the wireless router, I'd go with a simple Vonage adapter, like the PAP2 or the D-Link VTA.
