Well since I posted I took the cord and ran it through a window and plugged into a phone jack. At first i go a dial tone and the after a bit it didn't work.
There wasn't a good phone jack near my router so I ran a phone cord to my Network Interface. I disconnected the plug from the telco jack and used an adapter to hook it to my phone cord which was hooke ...
