looks like the toshibas have packet loss problems in general..
but you will only notice it if your cable company has noise on there lines or is sweeping them on a regular basis to check for line qual ...
just a fyi I went to bb and got the new unit I thought what the heck thirty day return policy...
also it seems every cable modem I reviewed had issues..
motorola's and toshibas and others it all dep ...
my isp is comcast up in the st clair area in michigan..
my pcx1100u was working fine...for a few months then after a while i started to get cutouts and buzzing..it got so bad ..originaly the pcx work ...
this router has 4 wired ethernet ports...1 usb port and it also has the wireless functions if you ever want to go this way(so it will work with anything) ...my echo went away..
i played with the save ...
not trying to be silly ..did tommy ever go to the vonage site and adjust his voice quality..
if it was set low it may make the noise even worse..

echo then cutouts and they got progressively worse..
I then read and read and read...
and then I used a friends new.. linksys wcg200 cablemodem/ro ...
